Near Krabi,

Ton Sai is the beach I am staying on. It is on a peninsula with 3 other beaches. The beaches were hit by the tsunami so you do see some resorts being heavily rebuilt and the odd bit of ruble from a boat crashed on the shore. You also see some washed up sandals soemtimes which can be somewhat unnerving.

It is a very beautiful place and tI would assume the best place for rock climbing in SE Asia. CLimbers are all over the place. SO Toby and Jen if you wad this, when you go to Thailand go to Railay and Ton Sai beaches to climb. I"d climb but, err, you know, my toe and all....

I"ll try to get some pics uploaded but I dont know when I can, might not be till I hit Bangkok.

Gotta keep it short as the internet is expensive here.

Ty

One more question: is Ton Sai beach on Ko Phi Phi?
Because if it is I am really surprised you went there. I thought it is still not the best place to go for turists...

I just wrote a story about a local eprson, so yes I have, Petra.

Ton Sai beach is not on Phi Phi island it is on a pennisula near Krabi Town (4 beaches in total on penninsula). I do know of people going to Phi Phi to help in the clean up and building however. I heard 500 from some random man - not sure how reliable it is though.

Tobes, You would freak out at the climbing there, and tons of climbers too. And there are schools you can sign up with to learn and get better and junk. You could stay there a month and still have great climbing spots you haven't done yet.
